Welcome!
Thank you for visiting my web site.
I am a licensed acupuncturist practicing in Frederick, Maryland.
Prior to studying acupuncture, I was a scientist at the National Cancer
Institute. With a doctorate in physiology and a masters degree in
acupuncture, I believe I bring a unique blend of Eastern and Western
perspectives on health to my practice.
Acupuncture is a powerful system of medicine. Practiced for over 3000
years, the benefit of acupuncture treatment is well documented in
western medical journals and it is widely used in medical institutions
across the United States. Because of the relatively low cost and
noninvasive nature, acupuncture has become a highly popular form of
complementary health care.
Did you know?
• Approximately 10 million acupuncture treatments per year are performed
in the U.S.
• Acupuncture is offered at most major medical centers in the U.S. to
support patients in treatment for cancer, as well as other diseases.
This includes the National Institutes of Health, Harvard, Stanford,
Mayo, Johns Hopkins and Sloane Kettering
• Drug rehab centers throughout the U.S. are using acupuncture to treat
substance abuse
• Acupuncture is widely used in public health programs to support those
with AIDS
• Acupuncture was offered as support for relief workers during the
Hurricane Katrina disaster, at Ground Zero after 9/11 and after the 2005
earthquake in Pakistan.
• The military uses acupuncture to treat pain and post traumatic stress
disorder in soldiers
